nikah, wedding reception & visit

i have not been back to jengka for a short while. so since new year fell on sunday and monday was declared a pubic holiday, hubby and I decided to berehat at my kg, and pian tagged along.

have i told u guys that i have been driving back n fro office? nothing to brag about cos the distance was only about 10-15km. so when hubby told me to drive to kg i was like, erkk can i do it, we're talking about karak highway , 180km here. but seeing his confidence in me, me thinks why not? alah.. highway maa, bukan nak parking tempat sempit²..kan? not bad lahh.. i drove and always sticked to middle lane. heh! at one point, hubby and pian slept..i think hubby did it on purpose cos he sometimes complains he tends to get sleepy when i slept throughout the journey. serious best!! now nih i am still excited when driving so takle mengantuk :) i took over cars few times. punya lah sedap tekan pedal sampai 140km/h! mintak² jangan le kena saman!

last weekend was another version of walk down memory lane. i attended nikah & wedding reception. they were all my schoolmates 15 years back; sidah was also my neighbour while sanah & jan were my classmates. seeing them rekindled the friendship and closeness we used to have years ago.

jan came to mak's house with his wife, daughter sofea and young SILs. he was in jengka for his younger bro's engagement ceremony. i last met him in dec 2003 if my memory doesn't fail me, when i just married to hubby and he brought his wife-then-fiance along to klcc. we've been friends for dino years, yes, we were classmates since std 3, went to curriculum activities together etc etc. we even went to the same felda boarding hostel, which he attended a boy school next to mine. we later went to separate mrsm but occasionally during school break he would come to my house to study addmaths or just ring to keep up with each other's lives.

he always been an innocent shy boy and of course, a good friend. i dunno when will i see him next time considering he's now working & residing in penang. it felt good to be able to meet him though for only a short while. weii jan, bila lagi la aku nak jumpa ngko ye? ana, jom kita layan penang!! serbu rumah jan nakk?heh!

ironic when we're staying at the same kampung but seldom see each other, ironic when it takes weddings to finally meet in person padahal all of us (minus jan) works in KL.
