of raya haji & alif

this was my 1st raya with my in-laws! the raya was OK, we went to few houses nyum nyum :). MIL prepared soto ayam on monday evening, so basically not much to help out at raya night. since alang is in mekah, and raya fell on tuesday, aim and i didn't go back to kampung. so ayah said this time around, they didn't do much on raya, plus the baraan was cancelled too. apparently, other people couldn't go back to kampung too so their parents (neighbours) decided to forgo the baraan thingy.

early morning, i did the mandi sunat raya and hurriedly went down to the wonderful smell of fried begedil. just after alif woke up at 715am, i bathed and dressed him baju melayu. when all went out for solat sunat raya, i fed alif some breakfast. he must be really hungy that he ate 3 blocks of them nasi impit. woo hoo! good boy :)

went to subang jaya to aim's PIL, spent a good an hour and a half eating mee rebus, satay ayam, kurma hanbal-and few others- and buah asam jawa and gossiping (erkk my elder bro is getting enggaged next sunday basically discuss what to bring etc etc). the last time we went there for open house, alif was sleepy so he'd been crying and fussy. tapi that day he behaved well, in fact throughout the day.

next to alang's house to meet the 3 stooges. by then, hubby and i were too full we shared a bowl of soto ayam (again!). apa lagi..alif pon sibuklah main ngan his cousins and more boys of my SIL's side (read: SIL's nephews). so when we reached our home alif was too tired he immediately sleep after a good bath.

packed stuff to bring to terengganu (am going this friday teman hubby who's there for work) and went to PIL's house. after maghrib. MIL and us went to her niece's house to visit. alif was again full of energy after some rest, he decided to play with 4 kittens in the kitchen. punyalah sayang kucing, dia dok tepi cage tuh sambil pegang² kucing..even when the kittens tried to bite him, dia OK je... i pulak yang freak out lebih².. *sigh he's really animal lover esp cats just like hubby

ok now moving on to alif's progress on

being selective
alif is intelligent enough to select which food he wants now. if he refused what i am feeding him, he'd say 'nanak'. he will point to what he wants (toys, food etc) and say 'nak'. ignoring him is a huge mistake, he'll start rolling on the floor, sometimes stomping his tiny feet while crying from the top of his lung. wahhh, manalah dia belajar nih semua..pandai sendiri ke belajar from friends kat nursery?

also when i teach new words, some he'll say after me but some he'll just ignore. now he's calling everybody DAD.. aiyaaa.. why dad why not MOM??? hehe

molar teething
lagi satu, since geraham dia nak tumbuh, air liur dia punyalah banyak..masyaAllah.. baju asyik kena tukar je sebab basah kat dada dia. ingatkan dapat pekena pasembor tuh air liur dia dah ok la.. heheeh takpelah..kasi chance kat alif. alhamdulillah, so far dia tak demam or anything..sekali sekala tunjuk perangai (READ:mengada² nak get people's attention) tuh normal la.. kan?
