this is a reproduction of my entry in my other home
sebelum otak berkarat sebab asyik dok melantak kuih raya & calories-laden food kat kampung, i nak share bikut arab recipe, mom's (MIL) style.
ingredients:
almost 2 cups of melted QBB ghee
4 cups of flour
2 cups of blended sugar
directions:
- melt QBB over low heat and cool
- sieve flour and sugar into a bowl. mix well
- pour over melted ghee
- knead well to form a firm dough
- leave dough at room temp at least 2-3 hours
- preheat the oven to 180°C
- knead dough again
- roll dough into melt-in-your-mouth ball sizes ( mine is about 50 cent coin-size)
- bake for 20 - 25 minutes till cooked but not brown
yummy!! ready to be eaten! crunchy and melt in your mouth at the same time!
*biskut arab is also known as biskut suji
feel free to try, and do let me know the outcome, okay?

hi zaza, so sweet of you to come here :)
of course you can try other brand, it's just that mom had few incidents with other brands, and after that, she's only making it with qbb, she said somehow the texture was not the same.
to me, biskut arab is easier to handle than tarts and the likes, nak munch? hehehe sure cepat habis, eating them is addictive, for me at least :p
