yes yes i know some of you has already finished puasa 6 :D but me still in raya mood and hence this post.
yeah i want to join the rest of you, who blogged about raya celebration. as basi as it is, still typing it for memory sake. so my dear alif (and the rest of you who's reading this) this is how we celebrated your 3rd eid mubarak
2 days before raya, we went back to jengka. as expected binyusof clan was not complete cos my siblings had to oblige rules, celebrating eid with the in-laws. mak, without fail, prepared her ketupat daun palas and ketupat nasi, complete with gulai ayam kampung, rendang ayam, rendang daging, dendeng daging. and special menu was nasi dagang & gulai ikan tongkol. nyum nyum! ila, k nah and me tried to make pineapple tart for the first time. i saw the recipe in the internet, one of the FPs. nasib baik jadi! i wont elaborate on my nth. attempt at baking choc moist cake, wondering why the cake bantat at both trial. alas, i found out i used expired SRF. grrr! and yes, my naughty brothers have had the luxury to add yet another humiliation stories into an already long list. they equivalent belacan to my choc moist cakes! jahat kan? so my dear son, please do not forget to ketuk your uncles on my behalf ya?!
alhamdulillah early morning, i woke up to the nice smell of gulai ikan aye! mak, who's rather frail now still made effort to pamper us with her good food. thank you mak! i was very grateful i could perform solat sunat aildilfitri with mak & mai at the mosque this year. some makcik when shaking hands with me asked, anak sape nih? hehehehe i instantly perasan awet muda for they didn't ask, mak sape ni? to which i shall proudly answer, mak nya alif fird@us he he he
our raya theme color this year was green. i didn't have time to make a new baju raya so i recycled my convo kurung. but alif was so not into photo taking, he prefers to be the photographer * roll eyes. so this is the best collection of raya photo we have.
mak and ayah were happy and proud to be able to enjoy syawal with the rest of their anak menantu & cucu. all 18 gradchildren, praise to God.. my brother, joey came home at the eve of 1st syawal, while alang & rahim on 2nd syawal respectively. although i was already packing for ipoh when they arrived.. yelah, kena lah fair kan.. to be with the in-laws and hubby's relatives pulak.
that night, like previous years, we had bbq and sate. it was raining heavily, so not much of crowd came. and the next day, we headed to kuala nerang. it was a smooth journey, amidst lots of car on the highway. my (and alif's) first time to alor setar, and stopped by at pekan rabu for sepat & lampam pekasam en route to jelapang, before calling it a day at sg pulai.
another round of visiting to lumut & sitiawan the next day, after pekena nasi g@nja at ever-famous yong suan. hahahahaha i think now i weigh more than before puasa :p
back to home sweet home after dinner. ya Allah... penatnyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! we made a record 2000km journey within 4 days. cool uh?
then another trip to jengka for aqiqah ceremony on 6th syawal, but that merits another entry on its own.
so that's a very long raya celebration don't you think? how was yours?

hi rad,selamat hari raya!so now back to blogspot again,sng sket i nak baca blog u,kalau yg dulu tu cam prob sket-mkn nasi dagang di pagi raya dgn gulai ikan aye mmg terangkatkan?my MIL masakkan nasik dagang raya ke-6 utk i bila i blk t'ganu aritu, terlepas gak hajat nak mkn nasik dagang,kalu tak kenalah i tunggu thn dpn punya raya pulak-sounds meriahla raya u kt jengka,ramai adik beradik and cucu2 sumer berkumpul,mesti bestkan-oh i can see alif tgh perangai masa snap pic kt atas kerusi tu,mmg sama jer our kid ni kan?mcm kata u lah mayb age diaorg pun dekat2 sama so tu yg secetak jer perangai tu hihi
hi mar.. oh efx2 domain was no longer around.. and has been replaced with efx2blogs.com. i've decided to maintain these 2 blogs of mine, most of the time, the entries are mirrored, except when the post is a bit private, i akan letak kat efx2blogs je cos of the buddy feature. i understand blogspot pon dah boleh password protected but i'm yet to learn how to do it

Sounds like you had a very busy and fun-filled Raya travelling here and there. For a change, this year I got to relax since we stayed put in KL.
I pun tak buat lagi entry Raya. Perhaps when dah betul2 basi like the last day of Syawal I shall blog about it. I'm soo lazy now.
Anyway, was thinking of having a small do for Baby's 2nd bday. Nanti will inform you if jadi ya? Can't wait to catch up. Been too long!
