of report card and potluck party

yesterday, i met alif's class teacher, Teacher Sit!. she summed up alif's character and behaviour. nothing alarming, alhamdulillah. he's just an average boy, who loves playing toys too much. tee hee, which kid doesn't?

anyway back to his report card..hahahaha what will you react when you see lots of C's inside a 3 yo toddler report card? i just laughed.. heheh i find it very funny cos simple task, for eg, greeting hello teacher and smile, will be graded as well.. it covers few parts:

• characters & personality development
• social & emotional development
• real world skills
• early reading skills
• general knowledge

so overall, i'm happy to learn that he loves his computer class. diligently listen and repeat after the sound computer makes. (noted this since he was small, he could focus on tv screen for a long time, minimal disraction esp when watching animation series)

unfortunately, he just refuses to write/colors or anything to do with books for that matter. he only scribbles when he's suppose to connect dotted lines etc etc but entah la.. i have low expectation, really so to me, again, it's nothing serious but the best part is that he remembers pictures from his mikids english book! oohh, i'm so flattered when he , sambil malu2, says out loud bag, book, chair etc etc when his teacher points to random pictures. the books is using phonics method so i am looking forward to see how he progresses. now, i will let him enjoy playing until 5 years. i guess at 5 years , i should expect something from him already. hahaha looks like he has another year to lepak2 and enjoy his childhood.

i have started introducing muqaddam but shame on me, i was not discipline enough to make it a compulsary thingy for him. so, may be i will start that again slowly. i noticed he prefers following kumpulan alif's cd than following the muqaddam. that was why i stopped. any suggestion from any of you, experienced mommy/friends? i refuse to put any force when dealing with alif, especially when i want him to learn the arabic. i prefer him to learn slowly than memorizing but that's what he's good at for the time being.

and today, alif's school gonna have a potluck party. i just made strawberry pudding (dadih).. hahahah cheated by using the instant packet. i know most kids love to eat sweet pudding. i hope they gonna like it.

note: entry was posted last friday 16th nov. the dadih unfortunately never left my home cos yours truly had a bad cluster headache that very fri morning. poor alif.. sorry ya bad timing for getting an MC. next time makan2, i'll make it up to you.
