lil' alif tasted dates for the first time 
not many malay people still practicing this ceremony. it refers to an introduction of sour sweet taste of life to infants. bitter, sour and sweet symbolizes the reality of life, or so they claimed.
alif, in the other hand, is fortunate enough to experience all these : sugar, tamarind, zam-zam water and fresh dates.. all from his tuk's hand!
