blessing in disguise indeed. despite the frustration of not being able to enjoy pasembor, both me and hubby got MC for 6 days!. that means, our wish for the much needed leave was granted! and since it was school holidays, my sis, nieces and nephew came to my place. ala, they wanted to kill 2 birds with a stone, sambil datang, boleh berendam lama² which i believe more to the latter he he. hubby wanted to take them to petrosains at first but later suggested to go zoo negara instead.

nway back to my subject, so off we went to zoo negara. siap bawak bekal nasi goreng lagi! as expected, a lot of kindy troops at the entrance. we arrived just in time for multianimal show. alif too had fun as he could appreciate more this time around. eventhough he was sleepy, but he refuse to miss visiting animals. soon, he dozed off while the rest of us were getting tired and ready to go back.

ayah have had made a promise to bring his grand children on a train ride to kota bharu. after keep on postponing the trip, mak finally urged him to keep it up and school holidays was the best time to go. since hubby and i were on medical leave, they wanted us to tag along. i was kinda worry alif would not be comfortable during the long journey but keep on praying that he would be alright.
so on the historic 9th nov 2005,@2.15 AM 18 of us boarded in jerantut KTM station. alif who was sleeping, continued dreaming without trouble thank God! so i could rest :) while waiting the 6 hour journey to end. the kids got all excited and never stop munching! later, all was asleep and the next thing i knew it has passed kuala krai station. we reached wakaf baru station an hour late. that means, out time in kelantan was cut even shorter.
using 2 chartered vans, the initial planning was to check in at paloh inn but since we mistakenly took an opposite junction, we ended up in pengkalan kubor. mak's 2 helpers who were local people of tak bai came to see us. unexpectedly, we took a boat ride to tak bai. none of us were interrogated or whatsoever since it's Syawal, so after about 10-15 minutes, we were in thailand!
later, another mak's x-helper came to entertain us. they showed around the pasar and later to the most famoust restaurant for lunch. most of us had the talkabout nasi ayam. you would not believe they actually put budu to mix with its chilli sauce! nevertheless, it tasted ok.

we then proceeded to KB to perform solat. mak wanted to go to pasar siti khadijah but since the jam was hectic she had no choice but to dismiss pasar in the list. we reached railway station one hour earlier than departure time. later, boarded on train on time and reached jerantut around 10.30 pm.
although it was a tiring journey, i am sure each of us had fun. to ayah, thank you for this much-awaited trip :) :)
