jalan-jalan: langkawi part 1

it's been a while since we last went for a vacation, i mean just our family unit, three of us. hubby was eager for this trip he paid everything! hihihi tq dear, am not complaining ;P i want more more more!

1st feb indeed was a double celebration for us; deepavali (moi) and federal day (hubby) so we took this opportunity to visit langkawi... yes, my 2nd visit to this beautiful island and alif's 1st time :)

went there for only 3D2N, and too packed with hubby's enthusiasm to plan for binyusof's x-plor@ce activities, so with little time left, only managed to check out certain places of interest. anyway here's how we spent our days

1st day
we landed langkawi airport around 12 noon.. the weather was on our side, beautiful sunny day (unlike gloomy and rainy KL) and quickly arranged for a rental car. while filling up fuel, hubby asked for the attendant's help to locate recommended eating places. trying luck, we made our way to the famous ikan bakar (tatau la betul ke tak but that's what the boy claimed).

and yes the place was really crowded and we've got no choice but to tapau, furthermore i need to change alif's diaper. in the end tapaued 4 lauks and 3 nasi putih. wallah.. memang sedap! the place is famous for ikan bakar unfortunately we cudn't wait while the queue was rather long, may be next time.

checked in here, ate and rested for a while. tried put alif into sleep but unseccessful, he was excited playing in the bath tub. he's a water freak remember?

i came across zetty's version of rombongan cik kiah to langkawi dec last year and noted few suggestions. we tried to locate idaman suri & haji ismail group. pusing² pekan kuah few times but masih tak jumpa. rather dissappointed, hubby tried every junctions.. hahahaha at last jumpa jugak. the place is quite spacious and murahhhhhhh! but am saving them for next binyusof getaway trip insyaAllah in June 2007. lagipon fragile. soy..ko beli visions ko tuh kat mana? and berapa ek?

next, to plan for xplor@ce route, konon² starting point at federal villa la, keeping our fingers crossed til we know the outcome. i was sure hubby had fun, he's a treasure hunt freak, complete with tulip and all... **sigh beriya² ok.. siap clock berapa km till the next treasure etc looks like an event management company is in the making... and i've no choice but to cooperate while alif was sound asleep in the car.

after few rounds of circling the pulau (yes, dah khatam bape kali dah) hubby finally decided on which route to take, which places to go etc it was nearly 6 pm when we headed to tanjung rhu. en route to tg rhu sawfew cars stopped by the muara, with plastic bags in hand. i wonder apalah agaknya yang diorang kutip.. kerang kat laut.. mphh etok ada ke kat paya bakau?

the scenery was majestic, what else could i say.. cantiknyaaaa! rasa aman & damai je... cam tanak balik.. angin pon sejuk je ala sepoi² gitu.. while i was snapping pictures, alif already celup kaki in the air laut. funny how he tried hard to balance himself when the wave subsided. haha jakun okay?

how peaceful indeed. ishkk writing this pon already calm myself. therapeutic gitu.. some shots at tg rhu till my next entry. and btw you can see lots of eagle flying around here (in fact they're everywhere hence the name lang kawi ie helang at batu kawi). but my camera is not powerful enough to zoom any moving objects. nevertheless everyone had fun, and i love sunset, infuses romantic feeling dont you think so?
