jalan-jalan: langkawi part 2

wanted to finish off my langkawi entry before i forgot the details :p seems like majority of us loves the legendary island uh?

okay back to my day 2 in langkawi

after eating buffet spread, erkk okay while at it, the food sucks big time, no variety at all. and the taste? i think i can serve better than that. so much for complimentary breakfastla kan? ala² tak ikhlas je. i just ate fresh fruits and 2 pieces of toasted bread while alif didn't eat at all and busy adoring their fish aquariums! and yes he so so loves fishes, one time even termasuk dalam kolam ikan at my SIL's parent home sebab asyik jakun nengok ikan, and terlompat² sampai sebelah kaki blup! masuk kolam.. boleh takk? **sigh

eh what am i writing? hahahaha dah jadi short paragraph of complaint pulak.. okay back to our day 2 activities..

next 2 hours we contrived tulips and busy taking pictures for our reference. and since ltdl was scheduled there on 2nd feb few roads were closed we had to wait for them to pass through. so they were lots of marshal and pilot in fancy big motorbikes, and perdana cars too, and yes helicopters roaring above the sky & incoherent roger roger between them on too-loud-speakers. i don't follow ltdl but the first 2 cyclists were very fast ( average of 60 km/h i was told), they successfully left the others about 1 minute gap. we waited at a junction, so when the group of contestants made a left turn there, we heard the loud ktak sound of switching gear. miraclously no one skidded or anything. not even bergesel² into one another. terer giller kan?

my not powerful digicam could only take 3 snaps when the whole group passed by.

we left the junction and quickly made way to rumah mahsuri. as i told earlier, they've upgraded the place with lots of activities and information kiosk on products from gamat (sea cucumber). alaa that male doctor tu, his products are all good and the best testimony so far is my mom who depended on gamogen after her minor hernia operation. anybody else using the brand? have anyone tried their skin products?

using provided map from langkawi airport, we tried to find summer palace. totally wasting our time! the place looked deserted. they should just scrape it from the brochure! we saw few cars stopped by too, am sure the foreigners would love to 'feel' the ambience of anna & the king movie set. this is what malaysia authorities is lacking in general, to preserve such historical places. i should have taken a picture, then you guys will know what i mean, how sorry state the place is!

we then decided to enjoy the scenery while alif was sleeping. finished recce-ing at last and stopped by at air hangat. alif dipped his tiny feet in a gayung cos all pails were taken before finally made way back to the hotel to freshen up.

we're lucky we picked hj jelani's for dinner. the crabs & squids were fresh and yummily prepared. i bet the cook hailed from thailand. sedap sedap. happy. even alif pon baik, tak kacau parents dia melantak makan hahahahaha

day 3
woke up early & quickly had our breakfast. and because the nite before hubby was not happy & sure of one particular reference spot, we had to go back there **roll eyes already. penatnyaaa dengan perfectionist sorang nih. seriously the trip was entirely to plan for next june annual family thingy so i sincerely hope each and every binyusof enjoys themselves (and better not start complaining anything at all) cos for all i know hubby and moi had done our best to make it a successful & memorable one. eeiiii can't wait anymore...!

all in all we had good time in langkawi. alif enjoys eating choclates for breakfast, lunch & dinner but of course there were few things that we wanted to do but tak sempat buat. naik cable car @ gunung mat cincang and of course nak rasa laksa yang sedap itu. tsk tsk
