surf's up birthday bash

so what happened last saturday? curious ek beelove? yeah after much consideration and planning, we decided to hold alif's 3rd birthday party!!! wohoooo!! I was reluctant at first cos Ramadhan & Syawal are approaching and I was really on a tight budget but looking at alif's tuk and pah bersungguh² jugak nak buat majlis, and financial approval from hubby , I gave in. the truth is I was ecstatic! kunun² nak all out :p

event: planning

alif loves penguins so much no thanks to surf's up, therefore it's just natural for me to choose penguins as the theme isn't it?. but since penguin is such a new icon, we had trouble finding the matching looty bags etc etc. alang² dah buat kalau bolehI wanted to do it properly, with a designated photographer if possible but due to rm constraint and lack of creativity we had to make do with whatever we had he he shian alif, insyaAllah next time we'll do it properly okay sayang? but I really hope, the video and pictures will keep you fond of the sweet memory

anyway, most of the heavy menu were proposed by mom(MIL) with additional menu homemade by mom & myself. they were

homemade rendang 3 in 1 ( pelampung daging & limpa)
ever-famous satay ayam & daging samuri

homemade flavored dadih (corn, vanilla & strawberry)

oleh kerana kancilku died on me & kena hantar workshop, I couldn't apply leave on friday as planned. hubby was having a meeting too that evening so boleh kata semua kelam kabut. plan pon cam tak plan jer! balik rumah, after rounds of laundry washing, dashed off to carrefour! OMG how could i forget the basic ingredient for trifle? luckily the hypermarket was still open. phew!

finally able to slept at 4 am. lepas cuci porch, susun meja, prepare trifle & dadih..

woke up at 7 am! alif was still in deep slumber cos while cleaning the porch, he got excited langsung pukul 3 baru nak tido. hahahahaha which is good cos I could work without any disturbance. collected cake from mamachakchef in front of zoo parking lot :p

11.00 am
orang masjid came to say prayers and bertahlil sikit for arwah. partially my PIL wanted to sambut ramadhan jugak. so kira panjang le kot doanya, campur doa selamat untuk alif sekali :)
time nih alif baru bangun, so mandi& siapkan dia dulu.

hj arif sampai lambat sikit, padhal org masjid tu semua memang budget nak pekena grilled lamb. hahahah boleh kata half (or maybe more??) of it kena bedal. yang sakit darah tinggi pon belasah jugak. everybody keep telling takpe nanti balik makan ubat everytime they helped themseves with yet another servings. hahahahah



lepas je orang masjid balik, then my bro & askar came. kena kerah tiup belon ngan andak diorang. tolong gantung belon. then remaining siblings & family sampai. alhamdulillah i was so flattered they came all the way from pahang! i love binyusof!! but sedih jugak my parents couldn't make it cos they were in kelantan and just balik from KL when my sil delivered a week before. my mom was not as active as before, after long tiring journey, she needs to take some time before she could travel again.

1.00 am
mom's invitees datang in 3 big groups. mula² asyik layan kawan mom je i ngan hubby dah cuak dah.. eh mana kengkawan kitorg nih? sekali datang, haaaaaa serentak!


2.00 pm
emma & the crew came. we hired Hambuglar and mcD crews to organize 3 games. seriously I am glad we did this. almost all the kids jumped in joy, and the parents were so supportive cheering for them. they handled musical chair and not sure another 2 games, one in particular includes paper ball. yeah one big ball made from rummage of papers and you throw it to those inside the loop. ala ala bola kaki tiga gitu :)

kawan² bertali arus sampai tak terlayan lepas tu. maklumlah nak replenish food, tenaga kerja limited :p paling tak sangka kawan yg tak jumpa 14 tahun pon sudi datang.. tq very much to those who came. terima kasih for being there with us to celebrate alif's birthday. and juga terima kasih untuk hadiah² & rm. murah rezeki alif! syukur..

the last group arrived close to 6.30. syukur food cukup. siap boleh bagi bontrot lagi. :p

khas untuk alif,
semoga dengan bertambahnya usia alif ni, alif akan dikurniakan kesihatan yang baik, menjadi anak yang soleh & bijak pandai, sentiasa dilindungi dari hasad dengki & khianat, moga menjadi muslim contoh, semoga mendapat kebahagiaan di dunia & akhirat. ameen. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
