reading mommamia's comment made me laugh! hahaha i've been planning to update but sort out of idea on what to share. sorry guys for making you wait (i am honoured at the same time, knowing some of never-met blogger acquaintances frequented this blog of mine *blushh) plus i'm in the middle of transition. remember i wrote about going back to HQ? so for the past 3 weeks, we've been transferring knowledge to the new team who's gonna replace us. we implement buddy system (one-to-one approach thingy) but the outcome is quite frustrating. seems like they never learnt! my boss said that we have to leave this client office with a good name, uphold our company's pride but i believe my whole teammates have delivered our best to ensure as smooth transition as possible but somehow, the recieving team are taking us for granted. anyway, hope they could catch up as much as possible this remaining 5 weeks. good luck!
transition aside, i went to see a designated division manager in HQ on 16th may 2006 since they are looking for more people. but the jobscope is totally opposite of what i've been doing, or studied. i am yet to follow up with him (division manager) on what he has to offer or whether there is any. the informal chat session was just to see whether i am the right candidate or not. the expectations is quite high i believe for i have to start from scratch; learning, understanding & analyzing financial reports, balance sheets, annual reports and later strategizing modules for business. since i know nothing about them they do sound scary frankly. so any of you people studied finance & accounting(F&A)? how would you feel about an engineering background, IT analyst/systems engineer would fare in F&A? yaya, i know u take accounting right? so help me please.. frankly if the opportunity is right and career growth is promising, i will jump at the offer! i talked to one of his teammates (am supposed to replace her) who studied F&A and now lecturing f&a in uitm! of course it's her forte and she told me she loves analyzing those annual reports, all at her finger tips, easy, kacang putih. oh may i add, this girl stays until 7.30pm minimum in the office almost everyday but i am relieved to hear that the manager is result-driven and doesn't mind bringing work home.
the default (cos management came up with this) choice is to join my ex-boss taking care of central & southern accounts. nothing new except that i prolly need to be reskill cos i'll be dealing with servers, production servers. i am quite comfy with this knowing i have good rapport with my ex-boss and that i'm in good hands cos my teammate is very resourceful & reliable. i don't know. i have to make up my mind and finalize my choice. wish me luck and pray for me peeps!
ahhh.. did i make you guys pening? hahaha that explains why the long silence yes? oh on a cheery note, i think i have qualified myself for the sudoku grand tournament but i will wait for the committee's announcement. hehe syok sendiri!
